History and Archaeology of Punjab: Derabassi, Mohali

Archaeology is a very important source for the reconstruction of the human past of a region where written records of the ancient period are rarely available. It provides us with a very strong base to study ancient cultural history and the human past. The present dissertation “History and Archaeology of Derabassi Tehsil, District Mohali (Punjab)” deals with the archaeology of the region based on explorations conducted by the Present researcher. In addition to this, with the help of reported explored and excavated archaeological sites, an attempt has been made to the history of the region.
