Psychology is a rich and ever-evolving field of study. Understanding its intricacies is as profound as the complexities of its subject matter: the human mind and the resultant behaviors. Psychology is considered relatively a new science as its status as a science got established in the year 1879 with establishment of Psychology Laboratory at University of Leipzig by Wilhelm Wundt. Since then, numerous researchers have contributed significantly, enriching the field and enhancing humankind's understanding of their own selves. Psychological research has a broad horizon as it includes research in various aspects of human lives. On one end, it examines the everyday functioning of humans in their natural and social environments, while on the other, it delves into psychopathology, its prevention, and treatment, offering comprehensive insights into both normal and abnormal human behavior.
