Literature, Culture and Society

The book is a compendium of various perspectives of literature, culture and society. The most debatable issue goes that without society and culture there is no literature and without literature there is no progress in society and culture, I think these domains are intertwined and co-exist. Literature is the true expression of the masses and their cultural ideologies, value systems and belief patterns. Through literature, one can easily understand the experiences, narratives and stories of a particular time, place and people. Literature is an instrument to bring social change as well as it becomes a medium of preserving culture and traditional values. Society is taken as a group of individuals with a stand and living pattern that is prone to change with the cultural changes. Literature is the product as well as savior of society and culture, hence, for me, these three are intertwined.
