History has been known as a tricky subject. The more one tries to research the depth of the subject, the more it becomes tedious, intriguing, engaging and interesting. Indeed it is a very contentious, controversial and vexed subject. How truly and honestly it may be written, is something debatable and questionable. Our own Indian Historians of twentieth century have been in this category also, as one of the most famous senior historian Romila Thapar writes, 'The History of India was constructed in accordance with nineteenth century European views on what history should be and what was thought to be Indian History'.
